Wifisfuneral's breakout mixtapes include Black Heart Revenge, When Hell Falls, Ethernet, and Boy Who Cried Wolf. Wifisfuneral proclaimed his retirement in early 2020, however this was short-lived as he released his first album, Pain? that same year.
Wifisfuneral was born Izzy Kill$, but subsequently changed his name to Wifisfuneral, which he obtained from his close buddy DJ Scheme. Wifisfuneral became interested in hip-hop after seeing The Notorious B.I.G. tribute "Mo Money Mo Problems" music video featuring Puff Daddy and Ma$e for the first time. On January 27, 2017, Wifisfuneral released When Hell Falls. Originally intended as a suicide letter, he opted to convert it into an album instead.
Wifisfuneral's second mixtape, Boy Who Cried Wolf, was released later in the year to great reviews, titled after the renowned Aesop tale. Ethernet was originally scheduled to be released in May 2018, but was later pushed back owing to sample and feature clearance concerns. The album was officially published on June 8, 2018, and included the well-known song "Juveniles."
Wifisfuneral was named to the XXL Freshman Class of 2018 on June 12, 2018, among other upcoming rappers such as Ski Mask the Slump God, Lil Pump, and JID. Wifisfuneral released Conn3ct3d, a collaborative effort with longtime collaborator Robb Banks, on January 11, 2019. Conn3ct3d was propelled forward by two official singles. "Can't Feel My Face" was released on January 9, 2019, and "Movin Slow" was published on April 19, 2018. Two tracks from the album were leaked ahead of time. On April 8, 2018, "EA" was released, and on October 15, 2018, "Neglect" was leaked.
