Why PDP, APC Should Save Nigeria With Presidency Designated To South-East - Udeogaranya
Charles Udeogaranya, a former presidential candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has warned Nigerian politicians, particularly members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of the impending danger of denying the people of Nigeria's South-East zone the opportunity to produce the country's next president.
Udeogaranya stated in a statement that "most Nigerians agree that the South-East zone should produce the next president of Nigeria, but the consequence of its denial is frightening because it will create a conducive ground for Ndigbo with unalloyed loyalty to Nigeria, to reconsider and question their loyalty to a nation without a right to preside over her affairs as profoundly established in the last 50 years."
"Such despondent emotion by a significant population of a country towards her nation may become deadly and presage more risk to our nationalists' labors in forging and crystallizing a single nationality out of Nigeria."
Using the Ukraine issue as an example, Udeogaranya reminded lawmakers of the importance of their decisions on the people. He insisted that all Nigerians want a better, more progressive Nigeria free of bloodshed. A country in which we may all live in peace and prosper by treating all of her residents properly, with equal rights and fairness." The politician stated that the majority of Nigerians believe that the South-East zone should produce the next president and encouraged the APC and PDP to embrace it as the full maximization of democracy and follow suit with zoning.
