The rapper said on Saturday in a post via his Twitter account that he deliberately removed himself from participating in such competitions because he scrapped the idea of having to outdo other artists. He also said that he stopped competing with other rappers because he knows he can "beat them one at a time easily."
The rapper also revealed that he's grown now and awards no longer mean anything to him, adding that he doesn't care about money or clout as well and just wants to make music. I have deliberately removed myself from the concept that I have to outdo mode 9.
That isn't necessary.
"Ask him in the studio about me and he'll tell you. I'm not interested in clout. I'm just trying to make music. Money from F*ck also. Anyway that sh*t comes and goes. "As a rapper, I know how much my deal is worth."
But that's not me, because bragging just always brings fake individuals around you. Remain humble and live easily. The Accolades are accolades only. Peace to whoever deserves peace.
As for the Headies, because I don't want to compete with rappers, I stopped going for it (I can easily beat them on a one on one but that was Unilag). "Now I'm grown. Actually, awards do no longer mean anything to me. Let new individuals win awards,' he said.
