1. Wizkid – Essence ft Tems | Nigerian Songs

With great love from fans and American celebs like Rihanna, Doja Cat, and Kylie Jenner, and of course how fantastic the song is, Essence has been dubbed the "official song of the summer" by top American DJs and music executives. It is unquestionably the "largest song" in Africa.

Essence is the first ever Nigerian song to rank on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200 charts.

It was released on October 30, 2020, as the 11th track from Wizkid's Made In Lagos album, on which he collaborated with Tems.

Essence was so good that Justin Bieber, a Canadian musician, felt compelled to remix it.

If Essence does not become Wizkid's No. 1 hit, no other song would be able to fill the void. This is Big Wiz's Best Song Ever, with the Hot 100 Billboard crack and Grammy Nods. The video Essence has received over 73.8 million views on YouTube.

2. Wizkid – Ginger (feat. Burna Boy)

On a racetrack, two monarchs collide. It's not every day that we witness something like this. On "Ginger," from Big Wiz's fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, he collaborates with his industry brother, Burna Boy. Without a doubt, Wizkid and Burna Boy killed it with this song, which was one of the most popular in its year of release.

This is one of the most popular videos on the project, with a lot of positive feedback on social media. Ruger, a Nigerian multi-talented musician, just released a new debut tune titled "Bounce" in the year 2021 off his recent debut studio EP titled "Pandemic The EP," which is currently trending in all Nigerian cities.

This song was delivered and recognized as the EP's fourth hit tune, trending as one of Nigeria's most wanted songs of the year. On Youtube, Bounce has over 27 million views.

4. Davido – The Best featuring Mayorkun

The song is literally the greatest from Davido's third studio album, A Better Time, as the name says. The song was co-written by the label's CEO and Mayorkun, a previous signee who is now signed to Sony Music.

The Best is a jam that you can listen to for the rest of your life. You can't help but enjoy it since it exudes so much positivity. On YouTube, The Best has received over 9.8 million views.

8. Bella Shmurda – Cash App, Zlatan, Lincon

Fine Boi Bella Shmurda released this irresistible song, Cash App in the Year 2020, and we couldn't stop listening to it.

Cash App was the typical Nigerian happy pill, and it did a lot to divert our attention away from our problems. Bella Shmurda, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Lincoln crafted a big hit with an incredible visual, and Nigerians are grateful beyond words. Cash App has 17 million views on YouTube.

Blessed is another another standout track from the Made In Lagos album, this time featuring Damian Marley, the great reggae singer and composer. Blessed is one of the greatest tracks on the album, bringing Wizkid to a global reggae audience.

Before Essence stole the show, Blessed was a top-charting hit that made a significant contribution to the message conveyed on the Made In Lagos album. Wiz needs only a spiritual feature like this with Damian Marley to get the ultimate acceptance of the reggae community. The fact that the video has received 14 million views says a lot.

10. Omah Lay – Understand

Understand by Omah Lay is another tune that has had a significant impact on the Nigerian music scene and beyond. Ckay's debut single on his new label, Warner Music South, is "Felony." His song, Love nwan titi has smashed multiple records, further helping to place Nigeria on the world map.

Who'd have guessed a Timaya/Buju duet would happen, but it did, and guess what? It's currently one of the country's most popular songs.
