Toosii broke through with the release of the song 'Red Lights,' In 2019 which has already racked up millions of streams. Some of Toosii's most well-known works include the singles 'Red Lights,' 'Love Cycle,' 'Poetic Pain,' and 'Sapiosexual,' as well as the top-20 first studio album Poetic Pain. Toosii's brother and father were also musical influences, and once he tried music for the first time, he became homeless. The Who Dat mixtape was published by Toosii on April 30, 2019, while 13 tracks from Platinum Heart were released on February 7, 2020. After its first release, Platinum Heart topped Billboard's Heatseekers Album list at the top spot. The original 10-track mixtape was expanded to a 20-track deluxe release.
Toosii's Poetic Pain album, which featured the Gold-certified song 'Love Cycle' featuring Summer Walker, debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 list in September of 2020. He debuted with Capitol Records with the mixtape Poetic Pain, his third with South Coast Music Group, on September 18, 2020. After his music video for 'Love Cycle' featuring Summer Walker premiered on September 30, Chris Turner (A&R for Capitol) signed him.
Toosii released Thank You for Believing, his seventh mixtape, on May 7, 2021. The recording is titled 'thank you to everyone who believed in him and helped him get to where he is now.' It has Mulatto, Key Glock, and DaBaby on its 13 songs. He was included in XXL's 2021 Freshman Class.
