Tamar Braxton has been teasing new music since the beginning of 2022, when she tweeted cryptically, "The album. Slaps. Prepare yourself [fire emoji]." Without disclosing any additional information, this would be the singer's first studio album since 2017's Bluebird of Happiness.
On Tuesday (April 26), Braxton teased an East Coast tour, which will kick off this Saturday, April 30. She wrote, alongside a photo of herself and the dates of her upcoming live performances, "If you're so lucky to get a ticket. I'll have something NEW and special for you."
On June 4, she will perform at the Nashville R&B Fest, which will also feature Keith Sweat, 112, Tevin Campbell, Pretty Ricky, Raheem DeVaughn, and H-Town.
The subtle announcement has also led to speculation that Tamar's new album will be titled #UnderConstruction, though she has yet to confirm or deny this. Her award-winning podcast, #UnderConstruction, provides a raw, unapologetic look into her life and how she navigates relationships, motherhood, and her career.
Traci Braxton died at the age of 50 in March after a private battle with cancer, causing a major loss for the Braxton family. Tamar shared a solo portrait of herself a few days before the tour announcement, captioning it, "Whether you experience a LOSS or feel LOST, you'll always find your way back #underconstruction."
