Spike Lee is best known as a director, but sneakerheads will remember him as Mars Blackmon from She's Gotta Have It, who played a pivotal role in Nike's iconic advertisements during the latter half of the 1980s.
Lee and Blackmon have teamed up again with Nike for the Nike 50 campaign, with the proud Brooklynite directing and starring in a new short film honouring the brand's greatest signature athletes, past and present.
Following the release of a one-minute teaser on Sunday (May 15), the full trailer, titled Seen It All, was released on Tuesday (May 17), starring Spike Lee as Blackmon and Indigo Hubbard-Salk from She's Gotta Have It All.
The commercial includes references to Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Mia Hamm, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Steve Prefontaine, and other notable athletes who have left their mark on sports culture over the last 50 years.
