Riky Rick, also known as Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, has died. The 34-year-old award-winning hip-hop rapper from Cape Town committed suicide at his home on February 23, 2022.
Ricky, who was rushed to the hospital after allegedly hanging himself with a rope due to severe depression, died in the early hours of the morning.
The circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown, but reports claim that the rapper committed suicide this morning at his home in Johannesburg's northwestern suburbs.
Boss Zonke, Master Makhado, Minister of Energy, and King Kotini were some of the rapper's other monikers. After establishing a name for himself and asserting his influence in South African hip-hop culture for quite some time behind the scenes, he rose to mainstream fame with his platinum-certified album Family Values in 2015. Amantombazane, Boss Zonke, and Sidlukotini are among his best-known songs.
Cotton Club Records was founded by Riky Rick, who was also the owner. He was well-known for his sense of style and ability to set trends.

He was the founder and owner of the record label Cotton Club Records until his death.
After the release of his platinum-certified album Family Values in 2015, he became a household name.
Riky Rick is survived by his two children and wife Bianca Naidoo.
