Snoop Dogg Reveals He Fainted While Visiting Tupac Shakur In The Hospital
As two of the greatest artists on one of the most famous and renowned record companies in Hip-Hop history, Snoop Dogg and 2Pac’s reputations will always be interwoven in the eyes of music lovers. Fostering a tight friendship with Pac throughout his tenure on Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg and him worked on the smash hit, “2 of America’s Most Wanted,” off Pac’s Death Row debut, All Eyez on Me, in 1996.
Unfortunately, the song would be the lone highlight of their creative synergy, since Pac died dead after being killed down in Las Vegas later that year.
During an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Snoop recounted hearing wind of Pac’s illness and making the drive to see him in the hospital. “When we travel to Vegas to see Pac.
We went to Suge home first, so we haven’t even seen Pac,” he added. “We just talking to Suge, and he had the head wrapped up and he told us what happened and [saying] ‘Pac gonna be fine, he going to pull through he been shot nine times before he going to be alright.’”
On the other hand, when Snoop Dogg arrived to the hospital to check on Pac, he instantly recognized the seriousness of the situation. As soon as we go to the hospital, we realize that it's not going to be okay. There were tubes in him at the time, recalls the man.
Snoop said that he blacked out when he saw Pac in his hospital bed, and that he was overcome by the image. He went on to say, "When I stepped in, I could just feel like he wasn't even there." This is when he was stopped by Pac's mother Afeni Shakur and told he was strong. Ain't my kid seen you weak?' she said. I don't want you to seem weak in his presence. You tidy yourself up in the bathroom, then return to the room and chat to him about how you're feeling.'"
Afeni Shakur informed Snoop that Pac's love for him went deeper than whatever conflicts the two may have had, according to Snoop, who believes there was some tension between him and Pac before to Pac's death. After hearing the words, "My baby loves you," Snoop reacted with a smile. But she also realized how much we cared for one other. So she granted us a few minutes alone so that I could tell him how much I care about him. But I already knew that would be the last time I spoke to him.
