On October 31st, the news broke that Davido's first child, Ifeanyi, had passed away. This news sent the internet into a tailspin of grief. It has been reported that the child passed away as a result of drowning in the swimming pool of the apartment, and the employees who were working at the time have been arrested.

Artist Wizkid was one of the millions of Nigerians who, upon hearing the news of Ifeanyi Adeleke's untimely passing, were left in a state of disbelief. On his Instagram account, he expressed his sadness with three different emojis. Davido has received condolences and prayers from a number of notable figures, including Olamide, Mr. Eazi, Cuppy, Mr. P, and M.I., amongst others.

On November 2, 2022, Ruger, a singer from Nigeria who is on the rise, sent a message on his Instagram account in which he argued that individuals are the source of evil in the world. His post suggests that there has been significant progress made around the globe;

"We Humans are the darkness and nothingness that needs to leave this lovely planet since it would still be so beautiful without us because everyone is back to posting their dope pics and stuff on their sites within a few hours after writing 'GOD WHYYYY' on their pages," said the man.
