Raye, a British singer, and composer has published a new song titled 'Chocolate Whip.'
Raye came to notoriety in 2016 when she appeared on the songs 'By Your Side' by Jonas Blue and 'You Don't Know Me' by Jax Jones, the latter of which peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and was certified platinum or higher by the BPI. Raye was nominated for the BBC Music Sound of... award in 2017 and came in third place. Euphoric Sad Songs, her first mini-album, was released in November 2020 and produced the UK top-10 hit 'Secrets' With Regard.
On December 11, 2014, Raye released her first extended play, Welcome to the Winter. Raye's songs 'Flowers' and 'Alien' were released on 7 February 2015 and 28 April 2015, respectively, with the latter featuring London-based rapper Avelino. On August 11, 2016, Raye released her second extended play, 'Second.' The promotional songs 'Distraction' and 'Ambition,' the latter featuring rapper Stormzy, preceded the EP. On October 14, 2016, the EP's first song, 'I, U, Us,' was released.
Raye revealed on Instagram that she is leaving Polydor and will begin working as an independent artist on July 19, 2021. Raye ended the year with the Euphoric Sad Show Tour. On February 9, 2017, Raye had her debut headlining performance at XOYO in Shoreditch, London. Raye and Starrah appeared together on the tune 'Dreamer' from Charli XCX's Number 1 Angel mixtape, which was released on March 10, 2017. Stand-alone singles 'The Line' and 'Sober (Stripped)' were released on May 19th and August 4th, 2017.
