New music by Raye, aka British singer-songwriter Rachel Agatha Keen, is called "Blue."
Raye shot to fame in 2016 after appearing on the platinum or higher-certified songs "By Your Side" by Jonas Blue and "You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones. The latter song peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart.
For 2017, Raye finished in third position for the BBC Music Sound of... award. Her first mini-album, 2020's Euphoric Sad Songs, gave rise to the UK top-10 hit "Secrets" with the band Regard.
On December 11, 2014, Raye dropped her first extended play titled Welcome to the Winter. Raye's singles "Flowers" (issued on February 7, 2015) and "Alien" (released on April 28, 2015) both featured London-based rapper Avelino.
Raye's second EP, titled "Second," was released on August 11, 2016. Singles "Distraction" and "Ambition," the latter of which featured rap artist Stormzy, were released in advance of the EP. This EP's lead track, "I, U, Us," was released on October 14, 2016.
At XOYO in London's Shoreditch on February 9, 2017, Raye gave her debut as a headliner. Raye collaborated with Starrah on the song "Dreamer," which appeared on Charli XCX's March 10, 2017, mixtape Number 1 Angel.
Release dates for the solo tracks "The Line" (May 19) and "Sober (Stripped)" (August 4) have been confirmed.
On July 19, 2021, Raye revealed on Instagram that she had left Polydor and was performing under her own name. Raye spent the last few weeks of the year touring with the Euphoric Sad Show.
