Read News!: Police react as Buhari appoints Marwa NDLEA chairman; President Muhammadu Buhari was praised by the Nigerian Police for naming retired Gen. Buba Marwa as the new Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The National Leader of the Police Drive Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu, congratulated Marwa on Thursday. In a speech, the officer expressed hope that the recruitment of Marwa would further reinforce the relationship between his department and the police.

He said:-  “We are hoping to see a more robust synergy between POCACOV and NDLEA in the ongoing police nationwide campaign against substance/drug abuse and cultism as well as violence and other vices”.

Amaraizu noted that also as chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prevention of Substance Addiction, Marwa had the potential to achieve (PACEDA). The organizer called on young people, among other vices, to shun drugs, cultism and explore their future.
