Zlatan Ibile, a Nigerian musician, has revealed how late Obama DMW used to send him money to buy outfits for concerts when he was just starting out. Zlatan stated this at a candlelight vigil for the deceased held on Friday night on Orange Island, Lagos.

While paying homage to the late Habeeb Uthman, alias Obama DMW, the singer stated that he appears "rough online" but is a "really lovely guy."

He went on to say that while he was still a rising star, Obama would send him money to buy clothes so he could look beautiful for his concerts.

“We all here know how nice of a person Obama was. Even though he looked tough from the outside he was such a beautiful soul on the inside.

“I remember when he used to send me money to get nice clothes so I can look good for my shows.

“I really hope and pray that he has finally found peace wherever he is. Till we meet again brother,” he said.

DAILY POST reports that Davido and his DMW crew were also in attendance at the candlelight event.
