Bryson Lashun Potts, better known as NLE Choppa, an American rapper, has released his new single "Near Me," which features fellow rapper Hotboii.
NLE Choppa, who was born on November 1, 2002, rose to prominence with his 2019 single "Shotta Flow," which was certified platinum by the RIAA and peaked in the top-40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
NLE Choppa released the song's sequel, "Shotta Flow 2," in February. The video received 20 million views in two months, prompting Billboard's Carl Lamarre to declare that his "recent dominance has silenced any detractors."
Cottonwood, NLE Choppa's debut extended play, was released on December 20, 2019. The EP, named after the neighbourhood where he grew up, includes previously released singles "Side" and his breakthrough hit "Shotta Flow" with its remix, which features Blueface.
On August 7, 2020, NLE Choppa released his debut studio album, Top Shotta. It peaked at number ten on the US Billboard 200 and featured the singles "Camelot" and "Walk Em Down" (featuring Roddy Ricch), both of which charted at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
NLE Choppa was named to XXL's 2020 Freshman Class on August 11, 2020. NLE Choppa's second mixtape, From Dark to Light, was released the same year on November 1.
NLE Choppa previously teased "Shotta Flow 6" and "Walk Em Down 2" with Lil Durk via TWEET in February 2021. The latter appears on his third mixtape, Me vs. Me, released on January 28, 2022.
It has 16 tracks and features Young Thug, Polo G, G Herbo, and Moneybagg Yo as guests.
"Shotta Flow 6" was released on January 28, 2022, along with a music video. It is the sixth instalment in the "Shotta Flow" series and the first single from Me Vs Me (2022).
