Nsikayesizwe David Ngcobo, best known by his stage name Nasty C, comes from Kwazulu-Natal District, Durban. At the age of nine, he began to rap, having been inspired by his older brother, who at the time was a producer. Nasty C lost three mixtapes between 2013 and 2015; One Kid A Thousand Coffins, C L.A.M.E., and Price City. But it was the one-off track, "Juice Back," and the remix that followed (featuring Davido and Cassper Nyovest), that brought him to the fore. In 2016, Nasty C released Bad Hair, his debut album, and gave it away for free. Four new songs, including a collaboration with US rap star, French Montana, were included in the highly acclaimed award-winning commercial re-release, Bad Hair Extensions. In 2018, the album 'Strings & Bling' was dropped, bringing him to the next level.
