A$AP Rocky was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after arriving in Los Angeles from Barbados on April 20. Rocky was arrested in connection with a previously unknown November 2021 shooting in which he allegedly approached an unnamed man and fired multiple shots. When one bullet grazed the victim's left hand, he suffered a unique injury.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. PT near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue and was the result of an argument between two "acquaintances."
"The argument escalated, and the suspect fired a handgun at the victim," according to the statement. "The victim suffered a minor injury as a result of the incident and sought medical attention later." Following the shooting, the suspect and two other males fled on foot. Detectives worked tirelessly to investigate and corroborate the reporting information, which aided in the identification of the suspect(s)."

Multiple guns were discovered during a search of his Los Angeles home by authorities, and sources close to the rapper told TMZ that the weapons were all "lawfully purchased and legally registered" and unrelated to the crime. None of the weapons was also removed from A$home. AP's next court appearance is scheduled for August 17, 2022.
