More Cuts Strike as Popular Pancakes and French Toast Removed From Disney Menu
More improvements are on the way for Disney Park foodies; that isn't the only thing that will be different. Guests will no longer be able to have the popular french toast and pancake choice for breakfast when the hotel reopens. Both the Cream Cheese and Guava Stuffed French Toast and the Pineapple-Banana Pancakes are no longer available for purchase on the Spyglass Grill morning menu.
It's hard to think that the Walt Disney World Resort is still closed to the public. The Central Florida theme parks, as well as their related Disney hotels and resorts, are still operating with a phased reopening following the massive closures caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Guests were once again allowed to book their vacation stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort earlier this year, marking the official opening of all Resorts to Guests. However, several portions of the Resorts are still closed.
Guests returning to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort from Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios are now unable to dine at the Moderate Resort's Spyglass Grill. When Spyglass Grill reopens on April 14, 2022, that will alter.
Rather interestingly, despite removing the fan-favourite pancakes and french toast options at Spyglass Grill, the latter still appears in the official description of the Disney Resort poolside location:
Morning, noon, and night satiate your hunger with the robust flavours of the islands.
Breakfast Signature products include the delectable cream cheese and guava-stuffed French toast with bacon, as well as a variety of grab-and-go options such as seasonal fruit and steel-cut oats.
Dinner and Lunch — If you're really hungry, get the Caribbean tacos, which come with seasoned fish, shredded beef, or jerk chicken. Do you want something a little lighter? The avocado, black beans, pickled red onions, tomatoes, and crispy plantain chips in the chilli-lime shrimp salad are guaranteed to satisfy.
Add a delectable tonic to the laid-back poolside vibe—frozen alcoholic and non-alcoholic tropical favourites, wine, and a selection of ice-cold beer are all readily accessible.
Some Disney Resort guests will be surprised by the menu shift at the Caribbean Beach walk-up counter, which is located in the Trinidad pool area and overlooks Barefoot Bay.
Not only have these popular and lesser-known foods been eliminated, but pricing for other goods appears to have risen as well.

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek and CFO Christine McCarthy said earlier this year that meal sizes would be decreased across the Disney Parks portfolio. McCarthy joked that it would be good for some Guests' waistlines, which put a bad taste in the mouths of several Disney fans, as the cost of visiting the Parks is rising across the board.
Regardless of rising food prices and shrinking portion sizes, the launch of Disney Genie is undoubtedly the most polarizing decision Disney has made recently.
An additional fee is required on top of a Disney Parks ticket, with additional charges for specific attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which requires an Individual Lightning Lane Selection pass. Guests do not, however, need to purchase Disney Genie+ in order to purchase individual Lightning Lane attractions.
Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando will be able to take part in The World's Most Magical Celebration, as well as see new attractions such as Disney Enchantment at Cinderella Castle.
