The new single "Not Another Rockstar" is by English singer-songwriter Maisie Peters, aka Maisie Hannah Peters.
Peters released her first two songs in 2017 (August's "Place We Were Made" and November's "Birthday"), but she didn't start getting much attention until the following year, in 2018.
Once Maisie Peters realized she could make a name for herself on YouTube, she signed with Atlantic Records UK (a label under Warner Music UK Limited) and put out the track "Worst of You," which has now racked up over 100 million plays on Spotify.
Her subsequent song, "Best I'll Ever Sing," was released after a few months. As 2018 came to a close, Maisie Peters unveiled her first EP, titled Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket.
Peters has released two additional singles so far in 2019: "Stay Young" and "Favourite Ex," the latter of which, along with "Feels Like This," has been featured on ITV's Love Island this summer.
It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral was Maisie Peters' second EP, released in October of 2019.
Her single "Smile" appeared on the Birds of Prey: The Album soundtrack album, published by Atlantic Records on February 7, 2020, to accompany the film of the same name.
In the same month, Peters was named as Niall Horan's tour support for the majority of the European leg of the Nice to Meet Ya Tour.
To accompany the premiere of the second season of the Apple TV+ original series Trying, it was revealed in May 2021 that Maisie Peters would be composing the series' original soundtrack album. Peters wrote and performed all of the songs on the CD, which are from the second season of the program.
The album's debut single, "Funeral," featuring fellow British recording artist James Bay, was released on May 4, 2021, after the news of the album's release.
This song was initially played on Apple Music 1, Apple's in-house radio station, on the Zane Lowe-hosted New Music Daily.
Peters' signing with Ed Sheeran's Gingerbread Man Records was revealed on June 15, 2021. The release of You Signed Up for This, her first studio album, occurred on August 27, 2021.
The album debuted at #2 on the UK Albums Chart and #1 at UK indie record retailers for its first week of release.
Peters's first U.S. headlining tour, which began in early 2022, quickly sold out. Late in 2022, Peters and Griff will accompany Ed Sheeran on the European leg of his +-=x Tour, as previously announced in 2021.
Peters has stated on Twitter that she is "not truly dating" Cate Canning's brother, despite the fact that she published the song "Cate's Brother" on May 6, 2022, about the singer's brother.
Cate's Brother (Matt's Version) was the name of Maisie Peters and Matt Maltese's rework of the song that was published a while later.
In April of 2020, Maisie Peters established an Instagram-based online book club under the handle @mpbookclub.
Singer Maisie Peters has a beautiful soprano voice. She has admitted to being a "big admirer of Taylor Swift," and she has also spoken highly of the bands Girls Aloud and Girls Talk, as well as the English singer-songwriter Lily Allen.
