Laureen Rebeha Zoua, better known as Lolo Zoua, an American R&B and pop performer, has released her new single "Don't Buy Me Flowers."
The song "Don't Buy Me Flowers" comes from Lolo Zoua's latest studio album, PLAYGIRL. The album is set to be released in October.
The title of Lolo Zoua's second studio album, PLAYGIRL, was released in the fall of 2022. PLAYGIRL, DREAMGIRL, and PARTYGIRL appear to be three portions of the record.
The first song "Give Me a Kiss," along with an accompanying music video, was released on April 27, 2022. The second track, named "Blur," was released on June 24, 2022, accompanied with a lyric video.
The album's official music video debuted on September 9, 2022, and it includes a small sample from the title track, "pl4yg1rl."
Zoua was born in Paris, France to a French mother and an Algerian father, and relocated to San Francisco, California when she was three months old. In 2013, she graduated from Lowell High School.
In 2019, Lolo Zoua launched her debut album, High Highs to Low Lows. Pitchfork gave the album a 7.5 out of 10 grade.
Lolo embarked on a 22-city North American headline tour a week after the album's release, followed by a summer full of festival gigs around the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, as well as appearances at New York and Paris Fashion Week. Lolo embarked on the 17-city European leg of the High Highs to Low Lows tour a month later.
The Guardian named Lolo Zoua as a "one to watch" in April 2019. H.E.R.'s self-titled album, on which she co-wrote the song "Still Down," was nominated for a Grammy Award and won the category for Best R&B Album.
Lolo Zoua has headlined events in 14 countries, all of which were sold out, and she has been in worldwide advertisements for brands such as Tommy Jeans, COACH, and Nike.
Lolo Zoua's sophisticated and personal tunes mix ambient electronica, smoky R&B, and elements of hip-hop. Her songs are described as "bittersweet bangers," and she claims that they incorporate all three genres.
