Lizzo addressed the potential matchup in a recent interview with Power 106 LA after hosts brought up a video of her eating a pickle dog dipped in peanut butter. "Here's the deal: you all think Saweetie eats random combinations. People eat like that all the time; it's just that no one talks about it. Because, you know, it's true." The "Tap In" rapper is known for her unusual and experimental food combinations, such as Capri Sun Hot Cheetos, spaghetti with ranch dressing, and oysters with ramen noodle seasoning.
"Capri Sun Hot Cheetos?" joked the Yitty designer. "She's got a good idea!" My food combos are f**king revolting. I'm going to do mustard and watermelon. It's just...we're not the same!... But I do unthinkable things that make people...yeah. It causes them to gag."
However, Lizzo did not completely dismiss the idea of a food Verzuz. Instead, she boldly issued the challenge. "Are you going to do coconut water and berries, Saweetie?" Smoothie cereal, anyone? I'm not sure, I'm the vegan version, that's all."
A Mother's Day special, a boxing "Fight Night Music" special featuring Cypress Hill vs. Onyx, and a Memorial Day weekend special are among the upcoming Verzuz battles. Mary Mary competed against BeBe and CeCe Winans for the Easter Verzuz special earlier this month.
