Montero Lamar Hill, better known as Lil Nas X, an American rapper, performer, and songwriter, has released a new track titled "Karma Don't Need Company."
Lil Nas X, who was born on April 9, 1999, rose to notoriety with the release of his country rap track "Old Town Road."
"Old Town Road" originally became viral in early 2019, before ascending worldwide music charts and earning diamond certified by November of same year.
After the success of "Old Town Road," Lil Nas X released his first extended play, named 7.
Montero (2021), Lil Nas X's debut studio album, was accompanied by the chart-topping singles "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" and "Industry Baby" (featuring Jack Harlow), as well as the top-ten hit "Thats What I Want," and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
Pop rap, hip hop, country rap, trap, pop rock, pop, and rock have all been used to characterize Lil Nas X's musical style.
Lil Nas X expresses gratitude to LGBTQ musicians Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator for "making it simpler for me to be where I am, securely."
Lil Nas X also credits Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Drake, Miley Cyrus, and Doja Cat as influences.
"I grew up off the Internet, so my musical inspirations come from all around," he remarked in 2019.
Lil Nas X was raised on hip hop musicians like Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, and Lil Uzi Vert.
Lil Nas X had the most nominations for a male artist at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, where he won Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
In 2019, Time called Lil Nas X one of the 25 most important persons on the Internet, and in 2020, he was selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
