The 7th Annual Black Music Honors will honor some of R&B, gospel, and Hip-largest Hop's and most renowned artists.
On Thursday, May 19, Dru Hill, Tevin Campbell, Keri Hilson, Mary Mary, Karyn White, and The Whispers will be honored for their profound contribution on Black music in front of a live studio audience at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta.
Kid 'N Play, 112, Carl Thomas, Raheem DeVaughn, Amber Riley, Eric Bellinger, Jade Novah, Keedron Bryant, PJ Morton, Ajah and Rhea Walls of The Walls Group, Sheléa, Avery Wilson, Kevin Ross, Eric Roberson, and others will perform at the star-studded event, which was announced on Tuesday (May 10).
The Urban Music Icon Award will be given to Dru Hill. The R&B Icon Award will be given to Tevin Campbell. The Gospel Icon Award will go to Mary Mary, while the Soul Music Award will go to Karyn White. Keri Hilson will get the Music and Songwriter Icon Award, while The Whispers, an iconic ensemble, will receive the Legends Award.
A Juneteenth highlight will be included in the special event to honor the national federal holiday — Kid ‘N Play, 112, Carl Thomas, Amber Riley, And More To Perform At Black Music Honors.
On Saturday, June 25, the 2022 Black Music Honors, hosted by LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis, will premiere on Bounce TV. Tickets for the live taping can now be purchased.
