Justine Indira Skyers, better known by her stage as Justine Skye, has released a new track titled "What A Lie."

Skye began her professional singing career by performing songs to accompany the book "Rules To Rock By." She is well-known for her version of Drake's "Headlines," which has earned over 2 million views on YouTube.
Justine Skye released her debut mixtape, Skye High, in 2012. Her song "Trippin" was featured on the mixtape and gained her a lot of attention. She was also renowned on Tumblr at the time, thanks to her then-boyfriend Glyn Brown, who was into fashion. They'd have meet-ups in the New York region, where supporters would turn up to express their support for their activities. Her initial seven-track EP, Everyday Living, helped her win a deal with Atlantic Records in 2013, as she began her journey to popularity.
Justine Skye's song "Hard Work" made the Top 10 on BET's 106 & Park, and she also had an appearance on an episode. In 2015, she released the album Emotionally Unavailable. During that period, she recorded the song "Collide," which featured rapper Tyga and was produced by DJ Mustard.
She performed at Jay-TIDAL10X20 Z's event in October 2015, as well as a Tommy Hilfiger performance in Brazil. She has also made appearances on television, including in the last episode of House of DVF.
She departed Atlantic in 2016 and joined Roc Nation and Republic Records. Her EP 8 Ounces, which included musicians including Wale, was released in December 2016.
She caused a stir in October 2017 when she kneeled during a segment of her performance of the National Anthem during a Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, New York.
Ultraviolet, her debut album, was released on January 18, 2018. "U Don't Know" (featuring Wizkid), "Back for More" (featuring Jeremih), and "Don't Think About It" were among the album's hits. On the same day as the pre-order, December 8, the music video for "Don't Think About It" was released, and the song "Good Love" became available with the album pre-order.
Skye posted the video for "Build" on Instagram in October 2018, along with a note about an unknown abuser who had harmed her psychologically and physically. Skye did not share her abuser's identity at the time.
She announced the release of her third studio album, Space & Time, on June 25, 2021, in early 2021. Timbaland served as the album's executive producer.
