Fuji master K1 de Ultimate has revealed that he has been performing traditional African music for more than 50 years. He has revealed that he has been performing traditional African music for more than 50 years. He made this disclosure during a recent colloquium honoring late Fuji founder Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, which was held at the Radisson Blu in Ikeja, Lagos. The 'Ade Ori Okin' vocalist stated that he began performing music at the age of 15.
K1 De Ultimate said:
“I started doing music at the age of 15. I may not be good at calculations but I am sure I have put in more than 50 years of my life into fuji music.
“If you think it’s not a big deal, I think it means a lot,”
K1 requested Fuji musicians to continue positively supporting traditional music.
