On Thursday, Jimeta died, DAILY POST gathered. He was chosen to replace Etim Inyang in 1986 and was replaced in 1990 by Aliyu Attah.
Jimeta was the National Security Advisor to Ibrahim Babangida, the former head of state. A vocal voice on national issues was deceased.

President Buhari prayed. Mr. Jimeta was appointed IGP in 1986 to succeed Etim Inyang. He was succeeded by Aliyu Attah in 1990.
