On at about 11:50:04 AM, DC Young Fly Claims Chris Tucker Told Him About His Return For ‘Last Friday’ was updated.
Despite the fact that the cult comedy we know and love as Friday has become a successful franchise, Chris Tucker, who played Smokey in the original 1995 classic, has stepped away from its sequels for religious reasons. Even as talks about a fourth and final film, Last Friday, began, Tucker remained steadfast in his decision not to reprise his role as Smokey.
However, Tucker may return only if DC Young Fly plays his on-screen son, according to DC Young Fly. This tidbit was revealed by the 29-year-old on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay talk show. "Chris Tucker told me... literally this year... "He said he'd be in the movie if I played his son," he explained. "I promise you, this is what he said," he said.
When he reposted a clip from the chat on Instagram, he allegedly repeated Tucker's alleged comments. "OG @christucker told me himselffff he'd play my father if I played his son in The Last Friday no Kap!!!!!!" Everyone who sees this wants it.. we're getting old and @shannonsharpe84 legooooooo #NoDayzOff."
Ice Cube has spoken on Last Friday several times about how the script was completed in 2019, but Warner Bros. has refused to invest in additional installments of the franchise. In February 2021, the rapper tweeted a picture of the Friday cast with the caption, "#Freefriday from the jaws of Warner Bros. who refuses to make more sequels." They have hijacked the culture's happiness." The initial goal was to have Last Friday completed by the end of the week.
