On Friday, his wife, Julia Olatan, confirmed his death to The PUNCH.
Olatan, who had been persistently seeking support for the actor, told The PUNCH in an exclusive interview that her husband died on Thursday night in Lagos State.
Julia thanked The PUNCH and its donors for assisting her husband, who was fighting for his life in a Turkish hospital.
The deceased had suffered a severe brain injury in an October 2016 automobile accident.
On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, the legendary actor celebrated his 69th birthday while recovering from the consequences of a severe brain injury sustained in a vehicle accident in October 2016.
Femi Otedola, a millionaire businessman and philanthropist, gave the actor N30 million in 2019.
Julia, who frequently communicated with her husband via video chats, stated that she could tell he was "fighting for his life" whenever they chatted.
