Boy Spyce, a new performer with the stage name Boy Spyce, is unveiled alongside his first new EP by Mavin Records, which is owned by Don Jazzy. After the great introductions of Ayra Starr and Magixx, this next signee has arrived.
Boy Spyce is a cross between a wise old soul in a 20-year-old body and an unashamed self-aware young guy. Boy Spyce was born Ugbekile David Osameke in Lagos, Nigeria, and is a native of the historically significant Benin city in Edo state.
Growing up as the last kid among older siblings meant looking up to them in certain ways. Boy Spyce states that it was exciting to see him come up with melodies, put lyrics together in a song, go to the studio, and watch him rehearse with his other band members, which inspired him to start creating songs. His first music teacher was his brother.
His journey and discovery as an artist began while he was still a student at Lagos State Model College Kankon, where some of his classmates informed a teacher about his talent after witnessing him sing to himself several times. The teacher encouraged him to perform at the school's social gathering, where he sang Mavin Records' hit song Dorobucci.
With his distinctly unique voice and contemplative words, he became an internet phenomenon through song covers. His main objective as an artist is to write songs for every feeling a person may possibly have; he wants his music to be a soothing salve for everyone who hears it at any given time.
