Black Eyed Peas, an American musical group, have made a new song off their ninth studio album, "Elevation," called "L.O.V.E."
Rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and vocalist J. Rey Soul make up the group. During the group's heyday in the 2000s, Fergie was a part of the lineup; she took Kim Hill's position in 2002, and in 2018, Soul did the same. They changed their identity from being an alternative hip-hop group to a more commercial pop-rap outfit. The 2003 song "Where Is the Love?" from Elephunk, peaked at number one in 13 nations including the United Kingdom, and lasted seven weeks there, becoming the Black Eyed Peas' first huge smash and Britain's biggest-selling single of 2003.
Monkey Business, the fourth album by the Black Eyed Peas, achieved even greater global success and was awarded a 3 Platinum certification in the US. With their singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling," which topped the chart for an unprecedented 26 consecutive weeks, Black Eyed Peas became one of just 11 artists to have simultaneously held the number-one and number-two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.
J. Rey Soul and rapper Ozuna were both featured on the group's single "Mamacita," which was released on April 10, 2020. The band announced the tracklist and album title for Translation on June 11, 2020, along with the release date of June 19.
The Black Eyed Peas are among the best-selling bands of all time with an estimated 80 million records sold. The Black Eyed Peas were ranked 7th on the Hot 100 Artists of the Decade and 12th on Billboard's 2000s Decade-End Artist of the Decade Chart.
