Azealia Banks says "Bodak Yellow" about Cardi B and calls her a 'industry plant'

On at about 00:14:54 AM, Azealia Banks says "Bodak Yellow" about Cardi B and calls her a 'industry plant' was updated.

Rapper Azealia Banks is infamous for his harsh and unvarnished criticism criticizing numerous musicians, celebrities and public figures, including rap star Cardi B, who she’s previously engaged in a war of words on various occasions.

However, Banks’ hardened stance regarding the Bronx native seems to have softened a touch, as she recently took to social media to sing the praises of Cardi’s chart-topping breakout single, “Bodak Yellow,” dubbing it one of the finest rap records by a female artist in Hip-Hop history.

“Yo Bodak Yellow is really still a TOP TIER female rap record,” Banks added. “It’s so f###### NEW YORK.”

She continued raving about the 2017 release, saying “it’s one of the best female rap records of all time,” before also giving credit to BX raptress Remy Ma and Brooklyn superstar Lil Kim. “And conceited by Remy Ma , no matter what they say by lil kim.” Banks also remarked that although Remy Ma isn’t especially fond of her, that she’s still a fan of her attitude and style. She even delivered a complimentary comment to Asian Doll when asked her thoughts of the Dallas rapper.

Asian Doll is "sooooo beautiful," she wrote on Twitter. "It's gotta be some fly nujabes and Nubian queen type sh*t on her breakout single." Sister is f**ked up, but with her good looks and rapping skills, she could offer even the most bizarre Spice Girl raps and body sh*t. This time, I'm not joking.

Many people questioned Banks' words in light of her earlier disagreements with Cardi, which she responded to by emphasizing Cardi's progress both musically and personally.

According to Banks, "It's mad amusing how fans be believing they know what goes on behind the scenes. "Either that, or you think that artists care about what you think of the industry we work in. " Bodak yellow has always been my favorite color. Not to mention how well-rounded Cardi B has become both personally and culturally.

When another fan commented that Banks’ appraisal of Cardi was symptomatic of the “Up” rapper being a “industry plant,” the “212” rapper agreed with the notion, albeit in the past tense, complimenting Cardi for the continuing hustle and vision she’s exhibited during her ascension.

“She was an industry plant lmao,” Banks said. “But sis took advantage of the chance and rode that bi**h the f**K out, built the perfect team, seized the moment and made herself a cultural fixture. U have to respect it.”

Yet, fiery rival Iggy Azalea wasn’t as lucky to receive Banks’ warm graces, as Banks believed that Azalea failed to make the best of her own opportunity.

“Sis genuinely was intended to use T.I for whatever he was worth,” she typed. “Drop the blaccent – give fancy and a plethora of other kesha style tracks, then give fashion mogul Victoria Beckham K***. But she’s giving the single mom thing she really believed whiteness would insulate her from.”
