Que Rabão song by Anitta — Anitta collaborates with Brazilian singer and actor Mr. Catra and Brazilian DJ, beatmaker, and self-taught music producer Papatinho on the song "Que Rabo."
"Versions of Me," released by Warner Records, is Anitta's first album totally aimed for the worldwide market, and it, like her 2019 album Kisses, will have songs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The album was executive produced by Ryan Tedder.
The album was preceded by the songs "Me Gusta," "Girl from Rio," "Faking Love," "Envolver," and "Boys Don't Cry."
Anitta began working on her fifth studio album, Girl from Rio, after releasing her trilingual visual album Kisses (2019).
Anitta said in a 2020 interview with the Brazilian magazine Veja that she had 30 tracks ready for the album and was working on the tracklist with her manager Brandon Silverstein.
Anitta released the song "Girl from Rio" in April 2021, which was billed as the album's title track at the time, but Anitta and her team opted not to release the album that year.
On April 1, 2022, Anitta revealed the album's new title, release date, and cover art, as well as indicating that she would later explain her reasoning behind the album cover and that she "liked" that it was "creating debate," stating that this was her intention.
Anitta later stated on her social media sites, "Even after millions of plastic surgeries, physicians, and interventions... my inside just stays the same," referring to the "notable plastic surgery changes" between the different faces on the cover. She also mentioned that the title had been altered to Versions of Me since it "made more sense."
Following the album's launch, Anitta confirmed in an Instagram live that there would be a deluxe edition of the album including one major female star collaboration.
